Dream Seeding has partnered with BOMM Solutions LLC for The Mama Joe Project; which combines the power of film with research, education and outreach to address complexities surrounding health and care for Alzheimer disease and other dementia. This is a growing national issue as the population of those 60 years and older is rapidly increasing. The Mama Joe Project seeks to educate, connect to resources, and inspire hope so that individuals and families can be better positioned to enjoy a better quality of life through the aging process.

Our efforts related to this project center mostly on Community Engagement Forums. We leverage our relationships with leaders at non-profits, agencies, colleges and universities, churches, service groups and Greek letter organizations to serve as co-host for the event. The commitment of our partner is to secure a safe, accessible and AV capable venue; and to be accountable for ensuring an audience of 75-100 persons for each event. These events are community centric, and aligns with the mission of Dream Seeding. Each Community Engagement Forum lasts about 2 hours and includes:

  • Screening of the My Mama Joe, Hope & Help documentary film

  • Light meal/refreshments

  • Workbook and resource guides

  • Interactive session for attendees to ask questions of panelist with expertise in film themes such as: caregiving, money management, insurance options, early detection and testing for dementia, and more

Community Engagement Forums are free and open to all, with a priority on connecting attendees to information and resources to improve health and wellness. Educational outreach started October of 2024, and we're on target to reach our goal of 50 events as part of Phase I.

Whether on an individualized basis or as part of a larger group project, we work to fill in the gaps and connect our client to resources that move them forward; which may include partnering with other agencies and organizations.
